WTB UW Armor
An idea, cos FoW armor is so horribad.
Please create this immediately, if not sooner.
I know there's lots of leet armor around, but I refuse to get FoW armor for my
HoM, so that's gonna stay 49/50
Note: Couldn't find a similar thread anywhere

Be more specific would it be different mats or just different looking either way I don't really see the need of another additional set of armor. I dislike most obby armors as well but I got it even though I barely use that toon anyways.

I like all the fow armors. Especially male warrior. I have the full set myself. I like the theme.
I hate the looks of all those destroyer weapons though and I'm not going to get any of those, ew.
Like dried poop with red stuff on it
an UW option would be nice, but theme would probably be ghostly, don't like that much :/

sounds like you are broke and desperately want to finish your HoM but can't afford it so you are looking for a cheaper solution

A'net have been coming up w. some neat costumes lately and my original thought was that this could also be added to HoM as an alternative to FoW.
Flowing robes, mean looking headpiece, that sort of thing. I'm not a designer, so perhaps someone can conjure up some ideas here. We have Grenth and Wedding stuff already, so another route pls
Re: Mats, Silk perhaps and blasted Fur which I have in store, but no use for apart from Norn stuff.
There's such an enormous range of them! Just make the thing cost ca. 200K + a few bits and bobs

No, far from it, I just despise FoW stuff and I'm frustrated that there is no alternative, cost could be the same as FoW stuff !!
Thanks for moving this admin

yes as long as it will have same costs as fow armour and it will be an alternative in hom calculator to fow armour
but this will never happen
-----
anyway this is my last post on this forum, i retire from here as i did from official gw wiki and gwpvx, the reasons are the same in all 3 cases.

if the mats will stay the same then I can sell my ectos for triple the price since everyone will rush to get it

Don't see any reason why not. A'net has said last major update is Derv.
No word on things like this, which would be a boost to the lagging economy,
specially ectos, muwaahahahaah

/signed - Another armor option isn't a bad thing.
BUT:
The cost would have to be on a par with the cost of FoW armor,
There would be no guarantee that they'd be any "better looking" than FoW armor.
The title "Legend of the Mists" sounds much cooler than "Champion of the Gods." So getting 50/50 is kind of a waste of time. (It's why I don't have 50 mini-pets)

Obsidian armor is both UW's and FoW's.
You get the ectoplasm mostly in UW, and the obsidian mostly in FoW.
If they ever have resources left for a new armor set, I'd rather have them complete existing sets for the professions that can't get them all, starting with the Elite Kurzick and Luxon armors for Dervish and Paragon.

Would be nice but I don't see it happening
imo obsidian armor should have been shards saphs and rubies since it almost has no relation to ecto besides the banshees. Just doesn't seem right

I think you could maybe do a spin off of the the current model or armor. I think either the ghostly or possible something with the greenish effect the Dhumm Scythe has would seem most logical but not into either of them. I would greatly prefer more playable content than bling but that is just me. I could see something happening in the future especially with some of the amounts of ectos being stored.

I'd like new armor, and the ghostly theme sounds cool-ish. Only problem, they can do it very, very good, or make it fugly like some of their sets. If they pull it off: sure.

@OP: You will have to suck it up because we could all say that about minis, weapons, any armors used in the HoM. Buy some FoW armor and be done with it

i'm confused.. are you contridicting yourself here?
anyway /signed
i always had the thought of chaos armor... essentially like chaos gloves but it covers your whole body.... wouldnt be too hard i think to implement...and it would use ectos that are from the UW(i never got why they didnt add the chaos guy to the UW, what does a dwarf need with 75e in the closest place to the fight with the great destroyer?).

There's no contradiction. I detest FoW armor and therefore will not buy.
Probably wouldn't be a major update to add 1 set of elite armor as an alternative to FoW for HoM. Ask devs on that tho
Chaos Armor also sounds like a plan. Also possible is Dhuum style or Frozenwind, as these are present there.

Priority?
1 set of amror. And all the costumes ??? They never had time for that either ....
Content such as GW:B you mean?
But, the idea stands.
